Luther was diagnosed with ALS in his senior year of high school. However, he found out a way to keep on living without the disease— by uploading his consciousness into a computer. The downside is, that in doing that, he had to “leave his human body behind” and that meant committing suicide. So now, present day, he’s basically a ghost haunting a computer. Or a computer program. He doesn’t see it this way however and 100% believes he’s still human, just without the whole Flesh and Blood thing.
