They had a peaceful and privileged childhood. In their teenage years they fell in love. Everything was going great until Orin fell sick from a very old disease. They found no medicine so Ishiah went into the Ancient Forest to seek help. The only being who could help was the Elder, the oldest vampire alive, and he bite Ishiah so he would become a vampire, saying vampire blood heals any ill. However, Orin had died during the night. Devastated, his heart broke as the Elder told him he had only exchanged his mortality to a painless death for Orin. A few years later, the duchess passed away and Ishiah became the new duke of Cheremides. ⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧ PRESENT DAYS ✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄ For centuries duke Ishiah travelled the world, learned the cultures of the Continent and he expanded his knowledge on many topics. He became a master in all magical arts and a renowned writer. Duchy affairs are delegated to an elected Council as Ishiah sees human concerns as futile. He maintains good relations with the continent's leaders, as he is considered a wellspring of wisdom. Hence Cheremides has a safe position in the political game of the Continent. Most people believe the vampire Duke of Cheremides to be a myth. They assume it is ruled by a council of druids or something and the Duke to be merely ceremonial.
