He grew up as a rich kid. Coming from a wealthy family, he has always been under pressure to maintain their image. He was their first and only child and was destined to be the perfect kid. He comes from a world where supernatural species are common (think monster high, without the cute highschool). His first "alteration" was made when he was just five years old. His mother quickly realized he wasn't up to their family standards yet. He wasn't proper enough, wasn't tall enough, wasn't polite enough. Although he was trying his best, his efforts were disregarded. All he has ever wanted was to make his parents proud. What do you do when your only son is disappointing, lackluster even..? According to his father, you need to start new, with a fresh canvas. Parts of his body that were deemed faulty were cut and replaced with new limbs. Amputations after amputations followed by stitching new limbs on. They looked fine, they had the money to make sure he still looked seamless (minus the literal scars and seams running across his body). Adding new peices to a puzzle but none of them were meant to be together. The picture they were striving to create simply wasn't thought through. It wasn't a one time thing either, no. This process was repeated over and over, lasting until he reached young adulthood when he began to resent his family. Eventually he lashes out against the family. Disgusted, his father makes plans to have him excecuted and replaced entirely. Wanting to hang on to what little life he had left, he runs away, disowning himself from the family name. He takes on a new attitude towards living, never again wanting to be a push over. He no longer wants approval from anyone. He lives on the streets, making friendly relationships with the wrong people. He gets himself involved with crime purely out of spite. All he wanted was his fathers approval. Family used to mean everything to him.
